What does the Lynatox air purifier do?

The Lynatox air purifier improves the quality of indoor air by removing odors, pollen, dust, allergens, viruses and other pollutants.

Does the Lynatox air purifier protect me from COVID-19?

The Lynatox air purifier reduces the risk of infection with COVID-19. The device has been proven to filter viruses from the airflow, thus significantly reducing the risk of infection indoors, including COVID-19. Released aerosols are filtered by the Lynatox air purification device, so an infection via aerosols is unlikely. The Lynatox air purifier cannot, however, offer any protection against a ‘wet’ spread of the virus (e.g., coughing or sneezing). The usual corona hygiene rules should therefore be strictly followed, as always.

What percentage of viruses and bacteria are filtered out of the air?

The total percentage of filtration goes up to 99%. Between 40-80% of the particles are filtered out of the air per cycle (one hour). The concentration of the aerosols is significantly reduced after just one cycle.

How does the Lynatox air purifier work?

The Lynatox air purifier sucks the polluted air from indoor spaces (e.g., schools, offices, or public facilities) through a coarse dust filter into the interior of the device. Once in the interior, the air is cleaned via the catalyst and simultaneous irradiation with UVA light. The cleaned air will then be released back into the room.

How long does the device take to purify the air in the room?

The device filters approximately 100m3 of air in the room per hour.

Why is the Lynatox air purifier so efficient?

The Lynatox technology is based on photocatalysis. In the first step, a specially developed catalyst extracts all types of organic compounds from the air and binds them to the surface. Irradiation with UVA light supplies the catalyst with energy that sets the catalytic reaction process in motion. Very short-lived but extremely reactive hydroxyl radicals are produced with “cold burn” organic pollutants or pathogens (i.e., germs) on the surface.

What is photocatalysis?

Photocatalysis describes light-induced processes in which chemical reactions are enabled or accelerated by the exposure to light on certain materials. In other words, light rays supply the irradiated surface with energy so a chemical reaction will take place.

What are the advantages over other air purifying devices?

The filters of the Lynatox device are nearly maintenance-free and wear-free, which is why the efficiency remains consistently high. Only the UV lamps have to be replaced after approx. 4 years. Conventional HEPA filters, on the other hand, clog with the filtered material and the efficiency quickly decreases significantly.Additionally, there are no pollutants or waste products. Almost all the residues left in the air are water and CO2. In contrast to activated carbon filters, no by-products have to be disposed of at high costs.

Has the effectiveness been proven?

Yes. The device has TÜV, CE, and NFPA certification of effectiveness as well as certification regarding the degradation of SARS-CoV-2-RNA viruses (corona) from an independent laboratory (Synlab Analytics & Services Germany).

Why is the Lynatox air purifier hanging on the wall or the ceiling?

The placement of the air purifier on the wall or the ceiling ensures good and even air circulation and thus the most possible filtration of the air.

How is the Lynatox air purifier made?

The construction is based on durability and recyclable materials. The production is environmentally friendly and takes place in Germany.

Can I customise my air purifier?

Yes. The image on front of the Lynatox air purifier is adjustable to one that fits your interior. You can choose an image from the extensive Lynatox picture catalog or use your own design and have it printed on the glass.
